Hensoldt Dialyt 16x56 (1948-63)

Dieses Hensoldt (Wetzlar) Dachkantprismen-Monokular mit der Typenbezeichnung "Dialyt" hat die Werte 16x56. Das Sehfeld beträgt 62m/1000m bzw. 4°18'. Das Dialyt (Seriennummer hier: 749584) wurde zwischen 1948 und 1963 gebaut. Die Optik ist vergütet. Es hat einen mit Vulkanit überzogenen konischen Tubus und eine gewölbte Beschriftungsplatte, die so lang wieder Prismentubus ist. Es gibt eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse. Die Dioptrienskala reicht von minus bis plus 7 und ist bei null und fünf gekennzeichnet. Die Teilstrich sind 1,5mm hoch und in 1,5mm Abstand zueinander (vgl. Vorkriegsmodell). Wie andere Hensoldt Monokulare hat es zwei Lederschutzkappen an einem Riemen, jeweils für das Okular und Objektiv.

This Hensoldt (Wetzlar) roof prism monocular, model "Dialyt," has a 16x56 objective lens. The field of view is 62m/1000m or 4°18'. This Dialyt (serial number here: 749584) was manufactured between 1948 and 1963. The optics are coated. It features a conical tube covered with vulcanite and a curved marking plate that extends along the prism tube. A cast-in carrying strap eyelet is included. The diopter scale ranges from -7 to +7 and is marked at 0 and 5. The graduations are 1.5mm high and 1.5mm apart (see pre-war model). Like other Hensoldt monoculars, it has two leather lens caps on a strap, one each for the eyepiece and objective lens.

Ein weiteres vorliegendes Modell hat keine Trageriemenöse, dafür jedoch einen am Mittelring vierfach angeschraubten Stativgewindeadapter, wie beim 25x56. Diese Variante wird z. B. im Katalog 1961 angeboten: "Mono-DIALYT 16x56 mit Gewindeansatz für Foto-Stative". Die Beschriftung ist aufgrund von Korrosion kaum zu lesen, die Seriennummer lässt sich als "906225" entziffern.

Another model does not have a a strap lug, but instead features a tripod thread adapter screwed onto the center ring with four screws, similar to the 25x56. This variant was offered for instance in the 1961 catalogue: "Mono-DIALYT 16x56 with threaded adapter for camera tripods".The lettering is barely legible due to corrosion; the serial number can be deciphered as "906225".

Das 16x56 mit Stativadapter wiegt 472g. Es ist 245-250mm lang. Der Tubus verbreitert sich von 41 auf 61mm im Durchmesser (47mm am Mittelring). Das Okularstück ist 31mm, der vertikal geriffelte Fokussierungsring 37mm und die Kunststoffaugenmuschel 35mm im Durchmesser.

The 16x56 with tripod adapter weighs 472g. It is 245-250mm long. The tube increases from 41 to 61mm in diameter (47mm at the center ring). The eyepiece is 31mm, the vertically knurled focusing ring 37mm, and the plastic eyecup 35mm in diameter.
