Carton "SOCO" 10x35 Prismatic Telescope

Dieses 15x35 Monokular mit seiner geschwungenen abgerundeten Form ist die größere Variante des Bicky 10x30 (es gab auch ein Selsi 20x40 Modell). Es hat eine schwarzes Metallokular und -augenmuschel ohne Dioptrienskala. Das Gehäuse hat keine Deckel, sondern nur durch das abschraubbare 35mm Objektiv lääst sich das prismensystem entnehmen (Bausch & Lomb Konstruktion). Am braun lackierten Gehäuse befindet sich ein Stativgewinde, an das auch ein Handgriff passt. Der Aluminiumzierring am Objektiv ist mit "SOCO" und dem Firmennamen "COC" (Carton Optical Ind. Ltd.) in einer Raute, darunter "Japan", beschriftet. Die 50mm breite schwarz lackierte Objektivfassung ist mit "15 Power D=35mm Prismatic Telescope" gekennzeichnet. Die Optik ist vergütet. Das Teleskop dürfte aus den 60er Jahren stammen.

This 15x35 monocular with its slender rounded shape is the bigger version of the Bicky 10x30 (there also was a Selsi 20x40 model). It has a black metal ocular and eyecup without any dioptre scale. There are no cover plates, but you can unscrew the objective ring and detach the prism system then (Bausch & Lomb design). There is a tripod thread at the brown acquered housing that can also be used for a handle. The decorative aluminium ring near the objective is marked "SOCO", then the maker's name "COC" (Carton Optical Ind. Ltd.) within a diamond , below "Japan". The 50mm objective frame is painted black and inscribed "15 Power D=35mm Prismatic Telescope". The optics are coated. The glass probably dates from the 1960s.

Das Gehäuse ist am oberen Okularabschnitt 50x56mm breit, beim schmalsten Objektivtubusabschnitt 43x46mm breit und endet in einem Durchmesser von 50mm. Das Okular ist konisch geformt und verjüngt sich zum Auge hin von 28,5 zu 25mm. Das Monokular wiegt 352g.

The housing measures 50x56mm at the upper part near the ocular end, and 43x46mm at the smallest part of the objective tube which ens with a 50mm diameter. The ocular is conical and decreases from some 28.5mm to 25mm in diameter. The monocular weighs 352g.
