Carl Zeiss Jena 4x20 (Turolmo)
Das kleine 4x20 Monokular von Carl Zeiss Jena wurde wie sein binokularer Bruder (Turol, Turolem) vermutlich zwischen 1914 und 1938 hergestellt. Als Bezeichnung taucht "Turolmo" auf. Das abgebildete Exemplar mit der Seriennummer 904802 (Fotos 1 und 2) stammt von ca. 1918, das mit der Seriennummer 878399 (Fotos 3, 4) von etwas früher, das mir vorliegende mit Seriennummer 910363 von 1918 sowie 1020794 von 1920 und das mit der Seriennummer 1645785 (Fotos 5-8) von ca. 1934. Es gab auch zu dem 4x20 eine kleine Ledertasche (Foto 3) oder Kästchen. |
The little 4x20 monocular by Carl Zeiss Jena was probably produced between 1914 and 1938, just like its binocular brother (Turol, Turolem). The model name is given as "Turolmo". The shown specimen with S/N 904802 (photos 1 and 2) dates from about 1918, the one with S/N 878399 (photos 3, 4) a bit earlier, the one I have with S/N 1020794 from 1920 and finally the one with number 1645785 (photos 5-8) dates from about 1934. Obviously there was also a small leather case for the 4x20 (photo 3). |
| Diese 4x20 Monokulare sind ca. 7cm (7,6cm) hoch und haben ein Sehfeld von 182m. Das Gehäuse ist oben 37x38mm und unten 40x42mm breit. Das Okular ist bei den ersten Exemplaren rechtsseitig, bei dem 1934er linksseitig montiert. | These 4x20s are about 7cm (7,6cm) tall and the f.o.v. is 182m. The housing measures 37x38mm at its top and 40x42mm at its bottom. The eyepieces of the first glasses are attached at the righthand-side, the ocular of the 1934 model at the left side. |
