| Das schwarz lackierte Prismen-Fernrohr aus Messing mit den Werten 12x, 20x80 ist die rechte Hälfte eines Marine-Doppelfernrohrs der Marke (Huet) S.G.O. Der Okularrevolver hat ein Gewindeloch zur Befestigung eines Griffs (s. Bild 4 ein anderen Exemplars), mit dem sich der Revolver drehen auch bei nassen, kalten Wetter und Handschuhen ließ. Neben den Okularen sind die Vergößerungs am Deckel angegeben. Die Okulare haben einen Dioptrienring mit Skala von +2 b is -4, haben senkrecht geriffelte Fokussierungsrine und Metallaugenmuscheln. Das runde Prismengehäuse hat einen ÜBerwurfring zum Öffnen und unten drei kleine Zapfen - scheinbar ohne Funktion - sowie eine Trockenpatroneneinrichtung. Der konische Tubus hat eine alte oder nachträglich neue Montageklammer, an der nachträglich eine Stativbefestigung geschraubt wurde. Am geraden Objektivtubus, der noch die vermutlich originale graue LAckierung hat, lässt isch eine Sonennblende ausziehen. | This black-painted brass prism telescope with 12x and 20x80 specifications is the right half of a (Huet) S.G.O. marine binocular. The eyepiece turret has a threaded hole for attaching a handle (see image 4 of another specimen), allowing the turret to be rotated even in wet, cold weather and while wearing gloves. The magnifications are indicated on the cover next to the eyepieces. The eyepieces have a diopter ring with a scale from +2 to -4, vertically knurled focusing rings, and metal eyecups. The round prism housing has a retainer ring for opening at its top and three small studs at the bottom—apparently without function—as well as a desiccant cartridge mechanism. The conical tube has an old or later new mounting clamp, to which a tripod mount was screwed. A sun-shade can be extended from the straight lens tube, which presumably still has its original gray paint finish. |

Der Okularrevolver ist 75mm im Durchmesser, das 12x-Okularstück 34mm am Sockel, 31,5 mm an der Hülse, 38mm beim Fokussierungsring und 34mm an der Augenmuschel, das 20x-Okularstück misst 44mm am Sockel, 43,5mm an der Hülse, 50mm beim Fokussierungsring und 35mm an der Augenmuschel. Das 49mm lange Prismengehäuse ist 84mm und die 66mm lange Beleuchtungseinheit 30mm im Durchmesser. Der 195mm la nge konische Tubus erweitert sich von 43mm auf 84mm im Druchmesser. Der gerade Objektivtubus ist 87mm und die 77mm lange Sonnenblende 93,5 mm im Durchmesser. | The prism telescope is 510-550mm long depending on the eyepiece used, plus 55mm with the sun-shade extended. The eyepiece turret is 75mm in diameter, the 12x eyepiece measures 34mm at the base, 31.5mm at the sleeve, 38mm at the focusing ring, and 34mm at the eyecup. The 20x eyepiece measures 44mm at the base, 43.5mm at the sleeve, 50mm at the focusing ring, and 35mm at the eyecup.
