Leitz "Mondal" 6x15

Das Mondal 6x15 ist ein sehr kleines Leitz Monokular. Dieses Modell wurde auch mit Vorsatzlinse und Stativ als Fernrohrlupe vertrieben. Das vorliegende Exemplar ist beledert und hat blank polierte Messingdeckel. Einen Trageriemenöse gibt es nicht. Die Augenmuschel am rechtsseitigen Okular fehlt. Der obere dreifach verschraubte Deckel ist mit dem E.Leitz-Wetzlar-Logo sowie darunter "6x15" und Seriennmmer 289531 gekennzeichnet. Duch das Blankpolieren fehlt ein Teil der Beschriftung beim Logo, und es sind nur einige striche des wohl einmal vorhandenen Modellnamens "Mondal" am Rand erkennbar. Das 6x15 ist 57mm lang, das Gehäuse 36x36mm breit und das Okularstück ist 15mm, der Objektivtubus 18mm im Durchmesser. Es wiegt 78g.

The Mondal 6x15 is a rather small LEitz monocular. This model was also supplied with a close-up lens as a monocular magnifier. The peice here has a leather covering and polished brass cover plates. There is no strap lug and the eyecup of the right-hand sided ocualr is missing. The top cover with three screws is marked with the E.Leitz-wtzlar logo, and below "6x15" as well as serial number 289531. Polishing the cover plates made some of the inscriptions of the logo unreadable. Furthermore only some lines of the "Mondal" name, seemingly once engraved at the edge of the plate, are still visible. The 6x15 is 57mm in length. The housing measures 36x36mm. The eyepiece is 15mm, the objective tube is 18mm in diameter. The glass weighs 78g.
