Hensoldt Pentaprismen Monocle 6x26 "Diana"

Das 6x26 Modell der Hensoldt Penta-Monocles wurde von 1899-1904 gefertigt. Das gezeigte Exemplar ist mit "Vergr.=6x" beschriftet und könnte daher aus der späteren Fertigungzeit der Pentas stammen, nachdem die Gläser nur mit "6x" gekennzeichnet wurden (vgl. andere Modelle mit "Vergr." Kennzeichnung). In den Katalogen wird das binokulare Modell als "Pirschglas" mit dem Bestellwort "Diana" gelistet. Das Monokular ist aus Aluminium mit einer Messing-Objektivfassung und einem Messingokular. Das linksseitige Okularstück hat eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala mit Markierungen bei 0, -5 und +5 sowie eine 2/3 Augenmuschel. Das Gehäuse hat eine Lederummantelung und eine dreifach angeschraubte Trageriemenöse. Die Deckel sind vierfach verschraubt.

The 6x26 model of the Hensoldt penta monocle models was made from 1899-1904. The specimen shown here is marked "Vergr=6x" (power=6x), and hence might date from the late penta production period after the monoculars were only inscribed "6x" (cf. other models with "Vergr." marking). In the catalogues it is listed as a "Pirschglas" (stalking glass) with the order word "Diana". The monocular is made of aluminium with a brass objective frame and a brass eyepiece. The left-hand sided eyepiece comes with a full dioptre scale being marked at 0, -5 and +5. as well as a 2/3 eyecup. The housing has a leather covering and a triple screw strap lug. The cover plates are fixed with four screws.

Der Okulartubus ist 17mm, der Fokussierungsring 24mm und die Hartgummiaugenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser. Das Gehäuse ist 82mm hoch und oben 30,5mm x 54mm bzw. unten 37mm x 57mm breit. Die Objektivfassung ist 33,5mm im Durchmesser. Das 6x26 wiegt 210g und ist 118-123mm lang.

The eyepiece is 17mm, the knurled focusing ring is 24mm, and the hard rubber eyecup 34mm in diameter. The housing is 82mm long and 30.5mm x 54mm wide at its top, and 37mm x 57mm wide at its bottom. The objective frame is 33.5mm in diameter. The monocular weighs 210g and is 118-123mm long.
