Hensoldt Pentaprismen Monocle 5x22,6 "Jagdglas"

Das vorliegende Hensoldt-Monokular stammt aus der 1901er Pentaprismen-Reihe und wurde als Modell "Jagdglas" bezeichnet. Es hat ein 2/3 Augenmuschel mit waagerechter und senkrechter Riffelung. Die Dioptrienskala geht um die ganze Okularhülse und ist bei Null, +5 und -5 gekennzeichnet. Das Okular ist aus Messing und wie die anderen Metallteile aus Aluminium schwarz lackiert. Das Aluminiumgehäuse ist mit braunem Leder ummantelt und hat eine zweifach angeschraubte Trageöse aus schwarz lackierten Messing. Der obere Deckel ist mit "Hensoldt Patent 5x" beschriftet, der untere mit der Adresse der lizensierten Londoner Vertreiberfirma "W. Wastons & Sons, 313 High Holborn, London". Beide Deckel sind vierfach verschraubt.

The Hensoldt monocular shown here dates from the 1901 series of penta prism glasses. The model name was "Jagdglas ("Hunt glass"). It comes with a 2/3 eyecup with a horizontal and vertical knurling. The dioptre scale runs fully round the ocular and is marked at zero, +5 and -5. The ocular is made of brass pained black as the other aluminium parts are. The aluminium housing has a brown leather covering. The black lacquered brass strap lugs is attached with 2 screws. The top cover plate is inscribed "Hensoldt Patent 5x", the bottom cover plate is marked with the London distributor taht was licenced by Hensoldt: "W. Wastons & Sons, 313 High Holborn, London". Both covers have four screws.

Das 5x22,6 Monokular wiegt 174g. Die Fassung der objektivlinse ist 30mm, das Okular 18mm, der Dioptrienring 20mm, der Fokussierungsteil 25mm und die Augenmuschel 31mm im Durchmesser. Das 68mm hohe Gehäuse misst oben 53x29mm und untern 57x35mm. Die Metalllippe der Trageöse ist 29mm lang. Die Gesamtlänge des Glases beträgt 98 - 103mm.

The 5x22.5 monocular weighs 174g. Its objective frame is 30mm, the ocular tube 18mm, the focusing ring 20mm, and the eyecup 31mm in diameter. The housing is 68mm tall, measures 53x29mm at its top, and 57x35mm at its bottom. The metal lip of the lug is 29mm in length. The overall length is between 98mm to 103mm.
