Carl Zeiss 18x50 Telarmo (Porro I)

Das Carl Zeiss 18x50 mit der Seriennummer 1677073 stammt aus dem 1934 oder 1935. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein Porro I-System im Vergleich zum Carl Zeiss 18x50 mit Porro II-System. Auch dieses Glas hat den typischen braunen Vorkriegs-Lederköcher mit eingeprägtem Carl-Zeiss-Logo und "Made in Germany" oben am Rand. The Carl Zeiss Jena 18x50 monocular with the serial number 1677073 dating from 1934 or 1935 has a porro I-prism system in contrast to the Carl Zeiss 18x50 porro II monocular. This glass, too, comes with a typical brown leather case, having the Zeiss logo and "Made in Germany" stamped into the top rim of the case.

Im Foto kann man erkennen, dass der geriffelte Fokussierungsteil des linksseitigen Okulars etwas korridiert ist. Die Dioptrienskala ist von -15 bis +15 eingezeichnet, aber, wie üblich nur mit +5 und -5 markiert. Die Deckel sind schwarz lackiert, der obere einfach, der untere dreifach verschraubt. Das Gehäuse und der konische Objektivtubus habe eine Rauhlackummantelung. In the picture of the left-hand sided ocular you can see that the milled focussing ring has corroded a bit. The dioptre scale has division lines form -15 to +15, but as usual is only marked with -5, 0 and +5. The cover plates are lacquered black. The top cover has one screw, the bottom ocver three screws. The prism housing and the conical objective tube have a crinkle paint finish.


Mit Trageriemen wiegt das Telarmo 415g. Es ist zwischen 155 und 166mm lang, je anch Fokussierung. Die flache Plastikaugenmuschel ist 33,6mm, das Okular am geriffelten Rand 36mm und am Tubus 31mm im Durchmesser. Das Prismengehäuse misst oben ca. 62x62mm und unten ca. 70x70mm. Der Objektivtubs verbreitert sich von 55mm zu 62mm.
Weitere Exemplare haben die Seriennummern 1540971 (ca. 1930) und 1972965 (ca. 1939).
The Telarmo weigs 415 with its strap. It measures between 155 and 166mm in length depending on ocular adjustment. The shallow eyecup is 33.6mm, the milled eyepiece 36mm, and the ocular tube 31mm in diameter. The prism housing is ca. 62x62mm at the top and 70x70mm at its bottom. The objective tube increases from 55mm to 62mm.
Other specimen have serial numbern 1540971 (c. 1930) and 1972965 (made 13.7.1939).
