Carl Zeiss 12x40 Telonarmo

Das Carl Zeiss 12x40 Monokular wurde ca. zwischen 1924 und 1930 gebaut (mir bekannte Seriennummer 1265645, 1286583, 1286596). Es zeigt die Zeiss typische Bauweise, hat eine Hartgummiummantelung und eine Ledertasche wie sie vor 1945 üblich war. Die Augenmuschel hat eine gechwungene Form, die sich zum fokussierungsring hin verjüngt. Die Dioptrienskala geht rundherum um das linksseitige Okular und ist bei +5 und -5 gekennzeichnet. Der obere Deckel ist einfache, der untere dreifach verschraubt, beide sind shcwarz lackiert

The Carl Zeiss 12x40 was produced between 1924 and 1930 (known S/N 1265645, 1286583, 1286596). It has the Zeiss type construction, is covered with hard rubber, and comes with a leather case, common for pre-war glasses. The eyecup has a rounded shape, reduced to the focusing ring. The dioptre scale on the left-hand sided ocular runs all around it and is marked at +5 and -5. The top cover plate has one, the bottom cover plate three round headed screws.

   
 

Das 12x40 ist 147 bis 152mm lang, das Gehäuse oben 60x60mm und unten 65x65mm breit. Das Okular ist 28mm, die Augenmuschel 33mm und der Objektivtubus 50mm im Durchmesser. Das Telenarmo wiegt 453g. Nach Angabe des Verkäufers ist das mir vorliegende Monokular mit Seriennummer 1286596 zuvor im Besitz von "Sir Hector Seymour Peter Monro, Baron Monro of Langholm" (1922 - 2006) gewesen.

The 12x40 measures 147mm to 152mm in length. Its body is 60x60mm wide at its top and 65x65mm wide at its bottom. The ocular has a 28mm, the eyecup a 33mm, and the objective tube a 50mm diameter. According to the seller the monocular with serial number 1286596 I have was owned before by "Sir Hector Seymour Peter Monro, Baron Monro of Langholm" (1922 - 2006).
